John Zapfel

John has over thirty-one years of experience in the natural health industry.  He has a broad knowledge of the retail and distribution channels for this industry.  He worked at the retail level, managing health food stores / Natural Food Markets both large and small for 20 years, most recently with the Whole Foods Market chain.  John is a nutritionist specializing in metabolic balancing of body chemistry using the Kelley program.

John’s current position is C.E.O. of Nature’s Sources L.L.C. located in Morton Grove IL.  Nature’s     Sources     is the manufacturer of a plant source digestive enzyme called AbsorbAidÒ.  Nature’s Sources also distributes from New Zealand, KolorexÒ, which is a high-end line of anti-fungal products.

Steven Smott

Nature’s Sources, LLC is proud and happy to announce that Steven L. Smott will be our new V.P. of Sales and Marketing effective November 1, 2006. Steve has been working for Nutraceutical branded products for the last eighteen years. He has held a variety of positions with the company, the most recent with the Key Account Department. Early in his career he concentrated on both the small and large independent health food stores. Steve enjoys training new employees, and is always willing to discuss the past, present, and future of the health food industry. His passion and hard work has won him numerous awards and recognition throughout his career. In September he was awarded the top Key Account Rep in the country for 2006.

Steve has a Bachelors degree from Northern Michigan University in Health Education. While at Northern he was professionally trained as an Athletic Trainer.

Steve resides in Northern Illinois with his wife Karen, and three children, Jessica, Garrett, and Danny.
