Is Kolorex®
safe?
Kolorex® contains: i. Horopito leaf (Pseudowintera colorata), a
traditional New Zealand herb. There is no record of toxicity from oral
ingestion or topical application.
ii. Anise seed (Pimpinella anisum), a traditional South American
spice. There is no record of toxicity from oral ingestion or topical
application

No. Kolorex® products are designed to help maintain general well being. They
are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The
information contained on these web pages is not intended to promote Kolorex®
products as medicines.
How
should I take my Kolorex® Capsules?
We recommend the capsules are taken with food, during a meal and wash down
well with a glass of water.
How
long can I keep taking Kolorex® Capsules?
They can be taken long term without problems, however as part of a tailored
Candida management protocol it may be useful to alternate Kolorex® Capsules
with other suitable products. We would suggest that you discuss long-term
usage with your health care professional.
Are
Kolorex® products suitable for vegetarians?
Yes - all Kolorex® products are free from any animal derived materials. The
capsules we use are Vcaps™ made from materials of plant origin, and are
approved by the vegetarian society and are kosher certified.
How is
Kolorex® tested?
Each batch of Horopito is independently tested, and must pass a university
laboratory test for activity before it is used.
What
precautions should I take?
Although there is no evidence of teratogenicity, as a precaution Kolorex®
Capsules / Kolorex Mouth and Throat Care Tea are not recommended during
pregnancy.
Can I
take Kolorex® products with other herbal or prescription medicines?
As with all herbal products, if you are currently taking other medicines of
any kind, you should consult your health care professional before commencing
a course of Kolorex® capsules.
Kolorex Intimate Care Cream / Kolorex Foot and Toe Care Cream feel hot when
I apply them to my skin. Why is this?
Kolorex® cream contains kolorxtract, made from Horopito, which is naturally
hot. This sensation can be quite sharp if applied to sensitive, damaged
tissue.
Are there any
precautions with the cream?
The plant oils in Kolorex® Cream may weaken condoms and diaphragms.
Kolorex® Capsules make me feel unwell.
Occasionally, it has been reported that some individuals may experience a
felling of nausea after taking Kolorex® Capsules, particularly for the first
time. This may be due to the naturally hot Horopito (similar to cayenne
pepper), or it may be due to a herxheimer (yeast die-off) reaction. This
feeling is usually mild and transient. We recommend however that if this
feeling persists, that you consult your health care professional.
I used
to be able to buy Kolorex® Capsules in a different form. Why have you
changed?
Since Kolorex® capsules were introduced, we have continually updated the
product according to consumer demand, and local market requirements and
regulations. As a result, not all forms of Kolorex® are available in all
markets. Please check with your
local distributor for details.
Can I
use Kolorex® products for children?
There is limited published data on the use of Kolorex® Capsules in children.
We recommend that usage in children should be under the advice of your
health care professional.
I have
taken a course of Kolorex® Intestinal Care capsules, and there is no
difference in my condition. What do I do?
